The hojaldres de Astorga, also known as "hojaldres de miel" or 'mielecitos / mielitos', are square in shape, about 5 cm on each side, and are also relatively simple to make, as they simply require a sheet of puff pastry and then water, sugar, honey and lemon for the syrup that impregnates them.
Hojaldres de Astorga pastries are often served for breakfast or as an afternoon snack eaten alongside tea or coffee.
